About me
I’m a cybersecurity professional who enjoys problem-solving and continuous learning. My numerous certifications include ISC2 CISSP, CompTIA Security+, Network+, CySA+, CASP+, and ISACA CRISC, and I have three degrees - a Bachelors in Computer and Information Science., a Bachelors in Biology and a Masters in Biology. When I’m not working or creating, I work out and find strength training the most effective in maintaining my health. I enjoy CTF challenges, gardening and reading. I'm currently reading 'A CISO Guide to Cyber Resilience: A how-to guide for every CISO to build a resilient security program' by Debra Baker. I'm vegan for my health, kindness to animals and protecting the environment. My favorite quote is attributed to Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, the famous round-the-world sailor, who is alleged to have said, "There is no such thing as an atheist in the Southern Ocean." My goal is to be in alignment with who I am supposed to be in this world. US citizen, authorized to work in the US. Books I've Read or listened to in 2026: "How to Measure Anything in Cybersecurity Risk" by Douglas W. Hubbard and Richard Seiersen. "The Dichotomy of Leadership: Balancing the Challenges of Extreme Ownership to Lead and Win" by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin
